Our team at Live The Reel wrapped up a dynamic two-day beach hotel commercial filming in Mallorca for the fashion brand Jacamo, featuring the formidable rugby icon Courtney Lawes. With the stunning beachside hotel serving as our multifaceted location, our production service was in full swing supporting our client’s vision. The northern charm of Mallorca’s Alcudia was the perfect backdrop for capturing Jacamo’s blend of casual elegance and robust style. Moreover, the ever-reliable sunny climes of Mallorca graced our “winter” shoot with an abundance of natural light.
Shot on the Arri Alexa Mini paired with Cooke S4/i lenses ensured each frame was infused with warmth and clarity. A foray into aquatic cinematography was achieved with the Scubacam, bringing a below-the-surface perspective to the visuals.
Simultaneously, a photoshoot was underway. We transformed a section of the hotel into an impromptu studio, complete with a colourama for that polished studio feel. This dual-format approach not only maximized our shooting time with our models, but also provided Jacamo with a comprehensive portfolio of images and footage from the shoot.
Nearing the end of our second day of filming in Alcudia Mallorca, we transitioned into an atmospheric night session on the beach. Our art department skilfully setting the stage with a pop-up beach bar, bathed in the soft illumination of hanging bulbs, providing a relaxed yet stylish backdrop for Jacamo’s evening collection.
