In our latest production news installment, join us on the move as we journey through the winding coastal roads of Mallorca for the road shoot of KIA’s 2023 Australian Open commercial. The Live The Reel team, serving as the fixers, provided top-tier production services to ensure the KIA EV6 was showcased against the striking sceneries of Soller and the Sierra de Tramuntana. Our local crew’s expertise was vital in managing the shoot’s complexities, from securing the necessary location permits to orchestrating road closures.
Employing the Alexa Mini LF camera with its esteemed image quality and K35 lenses known for their characterful vintage look, captured the essence of the EV6’s design. The Scorpio Arm, mounted on a tracking vehicle with a Nodal 360-degree ring, provided the dynamic range of motion needed to keep pace with the car’s sleek dynamics.
For the aerial perspective, we launched an FPV drone equipped with the RED Komodo, swooping over the landscape to offer breathtaking views of the EV6 in motion, adding an extra dimension to the car’s on-screen presence.
