Josh is a founding partner of Live The Reel. He is both British & Canadian and he trained at the National Film & Television School in London.
He started out as a freelance filmmaker in London, notably shooting and editing at Saatchi&Saatchi before moving on to directing promos for the likes of LMFAO (Carlsberg/Polydor) in Las Vegas and Michael Kiwanuka (Polydor/Island) in Cuba. His freelance works in the UK, Spain and Cuba as a Producer, Director, DP and/or Editor has credited him as an award-winning filmmaker in music videos, commercials, documentaries, short and feature length films.
In 2012, he set up Live The Reel in Mallorca. The perfect place, in part because of his love of the beautiful island and deep connections, but mainly due to the amazing light all year round and great locations on his doorstep.
Since then he has gone on to produce TVCs for the likes of KIA x Rafa Nadal (UK), Durex (Spain), Prisma (Finland), Scottish Power (UK), Samsung (UK), Jacamo x Courtney Lawes (UK) and yearly rounds for Princess Butikken (Norway). As well as producing various forms of brand content NA-KD (Sweden), British Airways (UK) to name just a couple, he has also continued supporting creatives to realise music video clips for labels such as Universal (Germany), Spinnin (Holland), Sony (Spain), EGREM (Cuba), Kontor (Germany), and WMG (US).
Spanish with Havana roots, Day has produced for major labels, production companies and agencies throughout Spain.
Trained at the National School of Arts in Cuba, she initially moved to Madrid to pursue an acting career, but soon found her preference to be working behind the camera. Her experience working as an AD for major brands and labels like Nike, Adidas, Universal and WMG, inform her ability to ensure efficient productions, that coupled with her careful and considered approach to all productions, make her an essential member of our team.
An experienced filmmaker herself, having directed many promos including for artists such as Nicky Jam, Cimafunk, Quintino and Sam Feldt, she independently wrote, produced, and directed her award-winning feature film, Sniffing Mum, which actually made her the 5th woman in Cuban history to ever have made a feature-length film. Day to day she continues to develop her scripts.
Leo joins our team from a rich background of working in TV & theatre throughout Spain.
His extensive knowledge, contact base and unparalleled energy, make him the driving force behind all of our production works.
We met Amanda when we partnered-up with her as our local producer in Havana. Producing music videos for the top directors in Cuba, she quickly became a key figure throughout the Cuban filmmaking scene.
Thankfully, we no longer need to travel 9 hours to work with her as she has since joined us in Spain.
